WebAdvisor is a Web interface that allows you to access information contained in the MUSC administrative database. Students can check their class schedule, grades, view holds, pay their bill, check financial aid status, etc. Faculty can view their class rosters, enter major exam and final grades, etc.
About a month before the semester begins, new students are given access to WebAdvisor. There are several steps to the process, the first of which is the creation by the university of your NetID. This account serves as the username for WebAdvisor. Your NetID and password will be mailed to you separately. You must go to Identity Manager to activate your NetID before you can use it.
If you accept admission less than one month before the semester begins, your NetID will be created after your matriculation fee has been received and you have been registered for classes. Go to the fourth floor of the library (off-campus students may call 843-792-2811) to get your login information.

Otherwise, go to the fourth floor of the library with a picture ID to have it re-set. Once it's been re-set, go to Identity Manager and answer the authentication questions. After doing that, you will be able to re-set your password yourself if you forget it again.
Yes. WebAdvisor puts a session cookie on your desktop when you log into the system. When you close your browser, the cookie is erased. It assists in navigation through WebAdvisor. Cookies must be enabled in your browser.
a) Your user name was not entered correctly during the WebAdvisor login process. It must be entered in lower case; do NOT include the @musc.edu part.
b) If you are new, your WebAdvisor account may not be set up yet, especially if you are accepted near the beginning of the semester. Send email to email@example.com or call (843) 792-5396. Please include your full name and the program you are entering.
An email will be sent to your MUSC email address when you have been added to the registry.
You have selected either "make a payment by electronic check transfer" OR "request electronic deposit of financial aid overage". Contact Student Accounting at (843) 792-2170 or firstname.lastname@example.org and tell them that you can't access the ECSI site.
Your password was entered incorrectly. The password is case-sensitive, so make sure that CAPS LOCK is not on. Also, if entering numbers on the numeric keypad, make sure that NUM LOCK is on. If you still have trouble, try using the numbers across the top of the keyboard instead of the keypad.
Your WebAdvisor account will be locked if you enter the incorrect password several times while trying to Login. It will take 10 minutes for the account to automatically reset from the last failed attempt. If you retry before the timer expires it will reset the timer and you will have to wait another 10 minutes. Please wait for this time to expire and then try again
This message is an indication that you forgot to provide information for a required field on a WebAdvisor form. All fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required fields. Please fill out the required information and resubmit your request.
If this message appears when your session has NOT been idle for 10 minutes, then you need to enable cookies in your browser.
Debit cards usually have limits of $500. If you try to pay your whole tuition, you will get a "Declined - authorization failure" message. Contact your bank to have the limit lifted.
